What we offer
Therapy services for the parts of you that go beyond the surface
Three specializations. One approach: unhurried, depth-oriented, and shaped by what you bring to the room.
Specialization 01
Psychedelic Preparation & Integration Counselling
The ceremony is not the whole of the journey. What happens before and after — how you arrive and what you do with what comes up — often determines whether insight becomes lasting change or fades with time.
Gaia Psychotherapy offers evidence- and trauma-informed psychedelic integration therapy online for clients across BC, Canada. Sessions offer a confidential, grounded space to reflect, to slow down, with care, respect and support. Facilitated by a Registered Clinical Counsellor with specialized training in psychedelic preparation and post-journey integration.
What preparation sessions cover
- Setting intentions and clarifying what you're bringing to the experience
- Understanding contraindications and building a safety foundation
- Developing grounding practices and a post-journey support plan
- Understanding what to expect and how to work with challenging material
What integration sessions cover
- Processing and making meaning of what arose during the experience
- Working with difficult, confusing, or overwhelming material
- Bridging insight from the ceremony into concrete changes in daily life
- Support for retreat participants returning from intensive experiences abroad
A note on legality
Gaia Psychotherapy provides preparation and integration counselling only — we do not facilitate, source, or endorse illegal substances. Sessions support your psychological processing before or after experiences that may occur in legal contexts (clinical trials, decriminalized jurisdictions, or legal retreats abroad).
Specialization 02
Dream Work Psychology
Your dreams are not random noise. They speak in a language — symbolic, compressed, and often uncannily precise. Learning to listen is one of the most profound tools available in depth-oriented therapy.
Rooted in Jungian depth psychology and the tradition of dreamwork as a therapeutic modality, this approach invites you to bring your dreams into the therapeutic space — not to decode them mechanically, but to engage them as living messages from the unconscious.
We work with recurring dreams, powerful single images, nightmares, lucid dreams, and hypnagogic experiences. Over time, many clients report a shift in how they see themselves — as though a previously hidden map of their inner life has become readable.
Who it's for
Those who sense their dreams are trying to communicate something. People returning from powerful inner experiences. Anyone drawn to the symbolic dimension of life.
What changes
Greater self-knowledge. A shift in habitual patterns. More fluency with your inner life. Insight that lives in the body, not just the intellect.
Specialization 03
Depth-Oriented Psychotherapy
Some patterns resist the tools that work on the surface. Depth psychotherapy asks: what lives underneath? Who would you be if the parts of yourself you’ve been managing — or hiding — were finally met with understanding?
This is the foundational offering at Gaia Psychotherapy: open-ended, relational, depth-oriented work for those navigating major life transitions, identity shifts, chronic dissatisfaction, or a persistent sense that there’s something more to understand about themselves.
Drawing on Jungian analytical psychology, existential therapy, and somatic awareness, our sessions create the conditions for genuine inner change — not just better coping, but a different relationship with yourself.
This may be for you if you are
- A high-functioning professional who senses something important is missing beneath the surface of a successful life
- Navigating a major life transition — career, relationship, identity, loss — that won't yield to intellectual analysis alone
- Repeating patterns in relationships, work, or self-perception that you're ready to understand at their root
- Seeking more than symptom management — you want to understand yourself, not just function better

On fees and the value of this work

Common questions
Your questions, answered
What is the difference between psychedelic preparation and integration?
Preparation sessions happen before a psychedelic experience, helping you arrive with clarity, intention, and a safety foundation. Integration sessions happen after — they’re where you make meaning of what arose, work through challenging material, and translate insight into your daily life. Both are valuable; ideally they work together as a single, supported arc.
Do I need to have used psychedelics to work with you?
Not at all. Psychedelic integration is one of three core specializations, but many clients come for depth-oriented psychotherapy or dream work without any psychedelic context. If you’re simply drawn to deeper work — regardless of what brought you to it — this practice may be a good fit.
Are sessions confidential?
Yes. Everything you share is held in strict professional confidence. As a Registered Clinical Counsellor, I am bound by the ethical standards of the BCACC, which include rigorous confidentiality protections. The only exceptions are narrow legal obligations (risk of harm to self or others), which we can discuss in your first session.
How long does a typical integration process take?
It varies considerably. Some clients work through a single experience in 4–6 sessions; others engage in ongoing integration work over months or years, especially if the psychedelic work is part of a broader depth therapy process. There’s no prescribed timeline — we go at the pace that genuinely serves your integration.
What is dream work, and how is it different from regular therapy?
Dream work is a practice of bringing your dreams into the therapeutic space and engaging them as meaningful expressions of the unconscious — rather than noise to dismiss or literal predictions to decode. It draws on Jungian traditions of amplification and symbol-work, and differs from most cognitive or behavioural therapies by taking the symbolic dimension of inner life seriously as a source of insight and direction.
Do you offer sliding scale fees?
Currently, I don’t offer a sliding scale. Sessions are priced to reflect the depth of training and focused attention this work involves. If you have questions about fees, I’m happy to discuss them directly during our free consultation call.
What platform do you use for online sessions?
Sessions are held via a secure video platform. You’ll receive a link before each session. All you need is a private space, a reliable internet connection, and a device with a camera. I recommend earbuds or headphones for privacy and sound quality.
How do I know if depth therapy is right for me?
If you’re curious about the deeper layers of your experience — if you sense there’s more to understand about yourself than you’ve yet reached — depth therapy may be a good fit. The free 20-minute consultation call is a low-stakes way to explore whether this feels right for you. There’s no commitment, no judgment, and no pressure either way.
