Shamanic Work
What is Shamanic Work?
Shamanic work strives to transform your life by discovering your spiritual resources and strengthening your connection to your helping spirits, through classic shamanic non-drug techniques. Universal, near-universal, and common features of shamanism are what make up core shamanism, along with another distinguishing feature of shamanism, which involves journeying to other worlds or planes of existence.
In shamanic counselling, there is a collaboration between you and your spirit helpers who serve as teachers. They may take any number of different forms.
Shamanic counselling starts by identifying what it is with which you need help. We can then help you formulate your intention going into your journey. Your shamanic journey begins with a consultation, then you undertake your shamanic journey, and finally a closing ceremony. You can expect a mixture of rattling, drumming, chanting, laughing, crying, and being quiet, throughout.
Shamanic work augments but does not replace psychotherapy. This is a highly individualized process, unique to you and your journey. The spirit world is supportive and is a good guide, but you must do the work. Although you alone are the one who is accountable for your elevation, you are never alone.
The Shamanic Perspective on Disease
Many illnesses that manifest physically, have significant spiritual origins. These illnesses respond to shamanic healing techniques. For instance, if an illness seems untimely or premature for the person’s life cycle, this situation may require identifying a possible spiritual cause for the condition.
How Can Shamanism Benefit You?
There are many conditions and disorders that can benefit from shamanic solutions. For those whose culture closely involves shamanic healing, it is usually part of a multidisciplinary approach, used for any disease or imbalances. Treatment includes botanical medications, changes in diet, a partnership with a physical healer, and other therapies.
Shamanic healing is holistic. Holistic spiritual counselling is a thorough way to treat.
When individuals are not making good improvements employing conventional approaches, they are finding their way to contemporary shamans for many types of health challenges.
How can Shamanic Work help?
Shamanism can cause positive changes to happen in the invisible realms that impact the healing of individuals and their communities in the physical realm.
Evidence for the validity of the shamanic approach can be found by acknowledging the thousands of years that it has been valued and utilized for healing. More recently we have begun to identify the medicinal value of many plant species that were first identified and utilized in shamanic practice.
